Yamaha Road Star Warrior 1700 Fuel Tank removal

Hey guys, thanks for tuning in this week. In this video we're actually going to learn how to take off the Yamaha Road star warrior gas tank. Now it's very basic, but it's one of the first things that you're going to want to learn how to do if you plan on doing many upgrades or mods because it is something that you're gonna have to take off and put on quite often.

Let's get right into it. The only tools we will need to remove the tank are going to be a 5 millimeter allen wrench, a 10 millimeter socket, and a pair of pliers. Alright to take off the tank the very first thing we're going to do is go ahead and take off our air scoop here to give us access to the dry break behind it. It's going to be these two 5 millimeter bolts here. Go ahead and pop that off and set it to the side for now.

While you're here, you can go ahead and disconnect your drive break. Just press in and pull apart. From there you're gonna go ahead and come up to the front of the tank, you're gonna disconnect this line here at the elbow, and this line up above the rollover valve assembly. From there you're gonna want to go ahead and remove your seat. Set that to the side. That's going to give you access to your two 10 millimeter bolts.

Go ahead and take those off. While you're here, go ahead and hit your other dry break, release it. From there, you should be good to go ahead and just lift up, wiggle it back a little bit, go ahead and set that to the side. Guys, if this video helps you out at all be sure to like and share it.
