How fast does a Yamaha Timberwolf 250 go?

Depending on the model and riding conditions, the Yamaha Timberwolf's top speed ranges from 35 to 55 mph (88.5 to 120.5 km/h). It used to be a common complaint that the quad was criticized for being "slow" on and off road. However, other owners claim that it accelerates like a beast in stock form. It appears that the Timberwolf's speed is heavily influenced by the amount of upkeep and abuse (or care) it receives, if that makes sense.
