1983 Yamaha XJ750 Bobber Modification By Fix It Now

let me show you a 1983 Yamaha XJ 750 that's been converted to a bobber and there's been some substantial work already done on it . one of the biggest things will notice right off the bat is it does have brand new tires on here . I just had these put on still got the little knob ease on here all over brand-new white walls. they are made in England they are can't really read the name what does that say.

yeah it's been a long day so 83 XJ 750 bobber runs and drives drove it down the block at his house it's very quick and i dealing with it well got tired of kind of wrenching on the the cars for a while Mustang need some no Mustang needs about three or four days of me getting off my ass and actually getting on it and doing it with the wedding.

everything going on just really having that time but I will be on that probably next month I really just wanted to kind of start wrenching on a wrenching on a motorcycle having kind of got a craving to to work on a bike and I didn't want to really shell out a lot for it.

but I wanted to get something with some decent pep that I could resell for a good good dollar once it was all done and I decided to check out Craig's List which as you know is hit or miss.

but I found this and I'll tell you the things that are wrong with the first starts up finds electric start runs and drives fine second gear on it evidently misses here and there if you give it too much throttle which means that it needs second gear or a synchro something to do in there.

it's probably a you know what two three day repair once I take it all down you gave me the parts to complete the repair and it's also got a leaky it's wet because it's raining but you'll see kind of like some oil accumulation right here evidently the valve cover gaskets leaking about and here so .

I'm gonna have to pull the valve cover gasket off and replace the valve cover gasket then getting onto the bobber project here the seat obviously isn't mounted we need to set up a seat mount for it if I decide to use this seat or not . I'm not sure what a seats got to be mounted there got to add the rear turn signals back here and then obviously add some sort of a fender here fairing so you don't get the road splattered up on you and everything else works.

it's got a new speedometer this is not factory you know it's got some loose things here and there just needs to be kind of gone through a guy kind of gave up his desire to work on it when he found out he had to move couldn't take it with him to his apartment complex so it's kind of at the mercy of trying to sell it.
