There's Yamaha Dragstar 1100 inside this Wonderful Bobber Chopper
The owner of the motorcycle is a fifty-one-year-old Marek Matyasik from Wrocław. Already in his puppy years he showed a keen interest in motorized two-wheelers. He was fortunate that his fascinations were supported by his father and when Marek was a fifth-grade pupil, his parents bought him a motorcar.
Can you imagine what a joy it was! After some time Marek changed to Jawka, which he took over after his father. When he was already in the vocational school for hard-earned money on the construction site, he bought the money from Junak. For too long, however, he did not enjoy the Polish four-stroke, because the motorcycle was stolen.
My father, seeing his son's scowl, presented him with a basket. On this Izż, which was repeatedly reworked and repainted, the first stage of the adventure with the motorcycle ended. After finishing military service, Marek went to Austria for bread. After three years he returned, but in 1992 he founded a family and he came back for motorbike steering wheel until 2007.
He bought Yamaha Drag Stara 650 from a friend and for two seasons passed this motorcycle in a serial form. Then, however, the time has come for the first modifications. Yamaha got a new front, a high steering wheel, Marek changed the fenders and widened the tank. On such a changed motorcycle, he went to Austria for the Fakersee rally, and there the sight of hundreds, if not thousands of "well-off" motorcycles, meant that our hero divides his free time between driving and customizing.
He works together with his mate Maciek in the garage and, together, they realize custom designs for their own use and for friends. Driving a completely serial motorcycle does not interest them at all. From the little Drag, Stara Marka changed to Old Road 1700. This motorcycle,
The machine visible in the pictures is the third one of Yamaha Marek, which they made together with Maciek. There were no predetermined project guidelines. The image of the motorcycle has evolved as the work progresses. From the beginning it was only clear that Yamaha would get a fuel tank from Sportster.
This, in turn, forced modifications to the frame. It was necessary to remove the two upper frame tubes running under the tank. Their lack was compensated by the reinforcement of the central pipe and additional reinforcements in the form of, for example, drilled metal welded in the area of the head. Mark's work is also precisely matched to the tire profile mudguards and side shields filling the space behind the engine.
The rear suspension was lowered, and the fork was deeper into shelves made according to its own design. The element which without a doubt adds a character to the motorcycle is a holy banana steering wheel - he does the job! The tin saddle is a joint work of Marek and Maciek. The leather lining was made by Maciek's daughter. The previous Yamaha owner still had something in the engine in the US and put on conical filters.
As a result, the engine spins like mad, but you have to be careful because there is no ignition off. As you can see from the heads, the plastic chrome covers were removed, but the cooling ribs received a decorative milling, which consumed a lot of work. Mark's work is also a 2 in 1 exhaust system combined with a German silencer. Kumpel Mariusz has modified the electrical installation by conducting a beam in copper tubes. Maciek took care of painting.

As a result of this collective, lasting one and a half year of work, a shapely bobber was created, which attracts all looks, good ride and worthy sounds. Can you want something more?
