Yamaha Tracer 700 GT Review

The Japanese kept things straightforward and created a straightforward upgrade: take a stock Tracer 700, replace the windscreen with a larger one, replace the seat with a comfy seat, and install a color-coordinated 20-liter side box. This is it: the Tracer 700 GT by Yamaha. The suffix cost £600, increasing the overall cost to £7,999. That pricing is really appealing. But isn't the GT moniker overly optimistic?

Your posture is good, the handlebars are in a good spot, and your feet are at a comfortable angle. putting in endless miles? There shouldn't be any issues. The height-adjustable, wide windscreen really makes getting about so much simpler. the airflow is being directed around the chest from the lowest position. My helmet is still barely hanging on at the tallest point. However, there is little to no wind noise and little turbulence.

The soft, slick, and slightly angled seats are comfy but have a soft feel. As a result, after a few bumps in the stroll, your bum will glide back into position once you've shifted a little in the seat.

That character doesn't cause the chassis too much trouble. Additionally, as long as you don't manage the bike too suddenly or too sportily, everything goes fine. If you do this, the rear suspension will malfunction and behave in an unstable and rocking manner.

Sadly, only the rear spring preload may be changed. However, the Tracer turns quite fast and gently in normal driving conditions, making it simple to adjust the ride line.

The speed, selected gear, and fuel reserve are highlighted on the LCD digital display. There are also two meters for distance traveled, mileage, average and current fuel consumption, oil, and outdoor temperature, but to scroll among them, you must lean forward and click the buttons at the bottom of the screen. A button to do that will be located on the handlebars of a complete GT. There is also no indication of how many kilometers remain. I also want a centerstand, naturally not on the screen but underneath the machine.

The Yamaha Tracer 700 GT doesn't stand out for its use of cutting-edge technology or luxurious accessories. Both the pricing and it are simple. However, the joys it delivers are everything from simple.

On paper, the engine might not leave a strong impression, but when driving on asphalt, even seasoned drivers will be won over. However, because of its small size, light steering, and identical twin that successfully balances manageability and fun, it is also very accessible to beginners.

It isn't a two-capitalized GT because Yamaha lacks the necessary components, but it is unquestionably a highly alluring alternative for a budget GT.
