Yamaha Tracer 700 Review

The Tracer 700 meets every requirement for touring. Sports-tourers don't have to be big, pricey, and expensive to make you grin, though, thanks to their class-leading low weight, simple-to-use motor, and nimbleness.

Tracer 700 Braking and Riding Experience

The cable-activated throttle recovery on the Yamaha Tracer 700 is flawless, and the fueling is comfortable. The new Yamaha achieves a fantastic balance between feeling extremely light through the knees and not feeling fickle, making moving back and forth effortless. The rear shock, which is remarkable at protecting your spine from the worst road bumps but is readily upset if you downshift suddenly, cannot be considered to be similarly resilient.

Tracer 700 Engine

Mechanically, the Yamaha Tracer 700 engine is the same character-packed 270° crank twin engine that produces the same performance as the bare MT-07; it is a usable engine. However, the air intake and exhaust have been altered to satisfy Euro4 regulations. 51 lb-ft of torque and 74 horsepower. These numbers might appear low on paper, but the Tracer's power is great on a winding road and makes setting out nadgery forks quite simple.

The Tracer 700 comes in two variations: a full-power model and a 35kw A2 model. The restriction was implemented using a separate ECU and a smaller air intake size to comply with anti-tampering legislation, and it cannot be restored to full power if the rider advances to an A1 license.

The new Tracer has ergonomics that make it feel like a much larger bike rather than merely a faired MT-07. The running boards are still in the same location as on the MT-07, but a redesigned rear subframe has raised the seat 35mm for greater legroom and relocated the bars 35mm forward.
These modifications result in a commanding yet comfortable riding position, especially when combined with the new 17-liter fuel tank (three liters more than the MT-07's) and the manual screen's mild wind effects. Bikini fairing and little handguards.

The Tracer's bars are higher and farther back than on the naked version for the purpose of increasing rider and passenger comfort. The rubber-coated, vibration-dampening footpegs are still in their original location, but the Tracer's seat is 30mm higher, providing additional legroom.
