The Japanese Yamaha Motor Company has released a light Enduro Yamaha XT 250 Serow, almost for the first time focusing not only on the technical component, but also on the design of the motorcycle. Of course, the appearance of the motorcycle classic and standard for this class, but not deprived nuances, favorably distinguishing the model from the main competitors.

The basis around which the whole motorcycle is built, is a frame enclosed in steel and plastic. Light, attractive and moderately aggressive design has won the hearts of a huge number of motorcycle enthusiasts, providing Yamaha Serow 250 huge popularity. The designers of the world-famous Italian atelier Pininfarina, who managed to breathe a drop of bright interest and their zest, favorably allocating the car among analogues, worked over the appearance of Enduro.
The model is produced in two versions-the motor and enduro, differing only by the settings of the suspension and wheels. Motorcycles are created on the same base – steel frame, carburetor, engine with volume of 249 cubic centimeters, air cooling system and chain drive. The transmission is five-speed and quite loud, which is typical of most Yamaha air-cooled machines. At the same time, the GEARBOX is very reliable and has a clear shifting gears.
At the mark of 6500 revolutions per minute is achieved and the maximum torque, and the maximum power, which is very interesting, unusual and serves as excellent proof that the motorcycle retains its momentum at peak power. Yamaha Serow 250 is not only a rubber rush, but also accelerates at full speed, leaving behind on these parameters of many classmates. Engine capacity-21 horsepower-it is more than enough for this behavior, especially if you consider the fact that the curb weight of the bike is a maximum of 120 kilograms depending on the year of model release.
One of the most important features of the enduro-off-road is its suspension, presented in front of the 35-millimeter telescopic fork, at the rear-a single-damper with the adjustment of preload. Of course, Serow is not designed for high jumps, but slalom on a forest Burelom or long race bike withstands a hurrah.
The lightweight design provides excellent handling and great energy-intensity. Of course, you can find more powerful models enduro, but the compact Yamaha Serow 250 is able to give a handicap to many of their competitors.

The technical component of the Japanese motorcycle significantly surpasses most analogues in the Enduro class. The steering system is almost perfect, and a wide range of settings allows you to adjust the machine to a specific driving style and make it incredibly obedient.

Engine
Yamaha XT 250 is equipped with a single-cylinder four-stroke engine with a working volume of 249 cubic centimeters, a peak power of 21 horsepower and a maximum torque of 20.5 nm. The undercarriage, as well as the power unit, is almost entirely borrowed from the previous generation — Serow 225 — and is represented by the front telescopic fork and the rear adjustable mono-damper. The most serious changes made to the technical component of the motorcycle was the introduction of the electric starter and the removal of the starter. Since 2007 it has begun to be completed with an injection system of the supply which has replaced the carburetor.
Transmission
The Serow 250 is equipped with a five-speed transmission with a chain drive. The gearbox is very noisy, which, however, is typical for all enduro, equipped with air cooling system. A clear advantage is a fast, easy and smooth gear shift.
Dimensions
The curb weight of the motorcycle varies from 110 to 120 kilograms depending on the year of manufacture. A total fuel tank of 9.8 litres increases the weight of the bike to approximately 130 kilograms. At the consumption of about three liters for 100 kilometers Serow is able to pass a large distance and has a good autonomy. The length of the motorcycle is 2150 millimeters, width-805 millimeters, height-1160 millimeters, height on the saddle-810 millimeters.
Braking system and undercarriage
The motorcycle frame is completely steel, ideally fit in the overall design of the motorcycle thanks to the efforts of specialists Italian Atelier Pininfarina. The neat wheels of the motorcycle and the standard for Enduro rudder are perfectly tuned and not only give elegance to the appearance of the machine, but also provide perfect controllability and obedience. The rear suspension Serow is represented by a pendulum mechanism with a mono-shock absorber, a front-telescopic 35-millimeter fork.
The braking system is represented by the rear 203-millimeter disk mechanism with a single-piston caliper and a front 245-millimeter disc with a two-piston caliper.
