Yamaha RZ250 4LC Custom
Yamaha RZ250 4LC
Custom based on the initial Yamaha RZ250 (4LC) that has already been more than 20 years since possession. The suspension parts are gathered by diverting Yamaha parts such as TZ250, TZR20R (3XV), and the front and rear wheels are also replaced with TZ Techno Magnesio. Impressed by the history of RZ custom since the 1990s.
“The custom concept is a vehicle that can ride without stress even with long touring. The genuine diversion of TZ / TZR older models is also a big part of that. Most of the custom work is KID (one-off, out of print based in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture) (It is also known that many RZ users rely on a shop specializing in car reform.) Originally I bought a normal immovable car, but it remains with the parts at that time Is just a frame " Said owner.

The frame is reinforced at three points, such as around the neck, according to changes in the foot circumference. Fork is 3XV outer, 5KE (TZ250) inner is genuine and stem is 3XV genuine
The engine has been replaced with a type with YPVS after RZ250R (29L), considering the convenience of daily use to touring use. The contents of the 17-inch front and rear, a fenderless style that looks like a tail-up, etc. have been updated considerably, but there is almost no sense of incongruity due to the color of the Yamaha intercolor.
By the way, what you see on the side cover is a handwritten signature by Kenny Roberts. Such a place seems to be Yamaha ~ RZ mania. Looking at Kenny's results, in 1978, when he fully participated from Yamaha Works, he took TZ250 and YZR500, and in the 500cc class, he won the title for three consecutive years until 1980 when RZ made its debut. This 4L3 break is one that has a lot of overlap with Kenny's history.

Aluminum top bridge, built-in thermometer for genuine meter, etc. are one-off products by KID. Holder added to the center of the handle is for navigation .
The engine is replaced with a unit with YPVS equipped after RZ-R, port deburring, and compression ratio increase by adjusting the head gasket etc.
Intake and exhaust system is a PWKφ28mm carburetor with K & N power filter specification + Toshitec's cross chamber, and the radiator is a three-layer aluminum core type.
The linked rear arm is for the TZ250 and the suspension is Orleans. The chain has been changed to 520 and drive system friction has been reduced.
It seems that Kenny's autograph was received directly from the person himself, but it really looks good with US Intercolor.
