Yamaha YZF-R6 Cafe Racer Custom
Like the last work of the Spaniards of Cafe Racer Sspirit, this Yamaha YZF R6 from Vintage Addiction has followed the opposite path to the uniqueness, looking for an old aesthetic on a modern basis instead of making the most usual Cafe Racer. The result, a motorcycle that will not go unnoticed either on the road or in the circuit.
With a base as good as that of a Yamaha YZF -R6 , the truth is that the work that had to be done to this motorcycle to reach its final appearance was mostly aesthetic. Although getting all the pieces fit surely has not been easy for Vintage Addiction.
In the first place, the original subframe was removed to replace it with a completely new one on which the new seat and seat was placed, in whose interior all the electronics, including the battery, have been relocated.
The fuel tank is the original, although it has been completed with a leather strip as a protection and simulating the support of the old tanks. The rest of the fairing is made of two pieces, and its support is achieved by new tubular supports.
The engine remains in its original state, with the exception of a new handmade exhaust as well as a new direct admission to the airbox that improves the air intake to the engine. The two new tubes remind their ancestor, the Yamaha Genesis.
Finally, a gunmetal gray decoration with red touches and white numbers have been chosen to emphasize the racing character of the motorcycle. Ricky Mampaint has already been in charge of giving this impeccable finish.
