Yamaha FJR1300 Specs Review

Yamaha FJR's popularity as a travel wheel has been around for over 15 years.

It's not a miracle, because even though the generation of the bike has been renewed, everything has gone down. And the FJR 1300 is still the ultimate motorcycle. Stamping the FJR 1300 as a mere wheel is an insult to its versatility. Although it has been created primarily for long transitions, the Yamaha travel model is also a fairly irony guy in a sporty bend.

Yamaha is undoubtedly a tough class surprise. It would not be curved by the greed of a sports bike, because externally, the FJR resembles almost any journey. But when stonga is pinched, you just have to admit that it has been totally wrong.

Why is it so good for sports?

The reason why Yamaha is so good at sports is still a mystery as the test drive progresses. It is heavy (292 kg), bulky and priestly-looking, but when commanded, it rises to the brunt. The engine has 146 horsepower, which speeds up speed. The torque, on the other hand, is enough for almost the same readings (138 Nm), so the running side is explained by it.

Motti twists nicely at 3,000 rounds, so there is no need to change the stroke continuously. The peak torque is brought to 7000 rpm and the maximum power is 8000 rpm, so it is not worth attracting the machine to the red limit.

The foursome is 1300 cubic and the bet is on the cardan. The engine does not feel on the handlebar and the chain does not fade. The power curve is smooth, and there is no clear power spike in Yamaha. Consumption is under control and with a 25-liter tank you will be able to drive 500 rushes.

The superbly tuned engine is not a little surprisingly the best part of Yamaha, even though it makes the bike a very good ride. Even better is the new electrically adjustable chassis. It can be adjusted to four basic settings depending on the load and the feel can be fine-tuned with three steps.

Yamaha has a soft, normal or rigid chassis tension, and its impact on the wheel's behavior is insane. With the softest setting, it is soft and comfortable in the air springs. The wheel is pleasantly wheeled for work and is especially suitable for traveling and in the city.

Chassis adjustments really affect

In a normal position, the feel is soft, but clearly stiffer than the soft one. With the toughest setting, the FJR, on the other hand, hugs the super-sporty, but still comfortable. At its strictest, it turns into a racing competitor for hyperbikes, such as Hayabusa, even when it stays in power.

By adjusting the substrate, the feeling of driving changes so completely that the equivalent has not been experienced in the frog world. Often the platform adjustments are mostly cosmetic, but for FJR1300, the difference is really noticeable.

The same goes for a motor map with two positions: sport and touring. The first is fierce and makes Yamaha jump out of gas like a bunny. The touring position is quieter and the gas response is soft and lingering.

However, the FJR1300 is, above all, a ride on the back of which you like to enjoy asphalt long cuts at a time. When Yamaha gets up and running, he doesn't mind stopping. In a very comfortable ride on the seat, it is a constant hope that the road will continue beyond the horizon. It quickly generates the confidence that manifests itself in unity with the wheel. Sounds like an advertising man, but Yamaha is just so good.

A slight headache is produced by finding a suitable setting from an electrically adjustable plexus that is not surprisingly given to a "smoking position", whereby the latter is practically not created between the guy and the plexiglass. In the top position it stays rotating in the last helmet to the top, so 183 cm somebody makes it keep it at the lowest possible setting.

The second challenge is the devilishly wide bench that makes the pendants look even shorter. The slightly too wide bench also touches the ass surprisingly quickly. Fortunately, its height can be adjusted to improve the knee angle.

The Yamaha plexus, chassis and other functions are controlled by the left hand handle. All adjustments are made from the same buttons, so you don't have to learn a lot of things from the outside. The cruise control has its own buttons. The operation is simple and the use of a hitch raises driving comfort considerably.

The instrumentation offers a wide range of information, but still needs to be purchased separately. Of course, there is a power plug, so you don't have to take either of the installation nails unless you want to.

The tricky thing to find is the bad thing to say

Because it is a travel wheel, there is a good selection of bags in the FJR. Bags of the test drive version suck in one half of an integral helmet, but there are more straightforward options available. Two larger side sacks are hard to go, but you should be careful with the width of the stern.

Finding places for development is difficult with Yamaha's long-lasting travel sofa. One is, of course, a plexiglass windshield, but if the driver wants to protect himself from the driving force, there is also a higher windshield. Other accessories are otherwise available with the Yamaha logo, so the equipment is not a problem.

The FJR1300 shows that, when properly designed, the travel wheel can also provide a fun guy to the knee cap. For a leaner outer shell, it looks a bit casual, but a soft package can sometimes provide a hard core. That's exactly what Yamaha is doing.
