In 1981, Yamaha LAUNCHED the SR250. Previously, a Model called Exciter was manufactured In the US between 1980 and 1982, which was virtually identical to the SR250. Manufactured in Spain in 1983, it was a Sales Market leader for several Years, reaching around 6000 Units a Year in 1990 and 1991.
