He has a father Mitsuo Abe who is also a Rider, Norick started riding a motorcycle from the age of five. Experienced Pocket bikes, a mini bike race, and went to the US at the age of 15!

In 1993, after training in dirt track and motocross in the United States, we started full participation in the 500cc class, the highest peak class in the All Japan Road Race Championship. And in the first year of participation, he's the youngest (18 years old) champion in the history of the 500cc class.

The following year, in 1994, Wildcards entered the Japanese Grand Prix, the opening race of the World Road Racing Championship (WGP)! In spite of his first participation in the race, he will face a fierce battle with top WGP riders such as Kevin Schwantz and Michael Doohan.

Unfortunately, the race result was a retirement. However, that aggressive run was a longing for Valentino Rossi. Later, he called himself “Roshi Fumi” and became an enthusiastic fan, leaving a huge impact on many people.

Another big game legend fascinated by such talents of Nori Abe.

Wayne Rainey will transfer Norick, who was enrolled in Honda's satellite team Team Blue Fox at the time of the Japanese GP, to the YAMAHA camp in the middle of the season and will be able to participate in two more spots in the WGP.

Since 1995, he has participated in the full WGP.

Norick continued to show his abilities without stepping up steadily from the youngest champion in the 1993 All Japan Road Race Championship 500cc class to the World Road Race Championship.

In the 1996 WGP Round 3 Japan Grand Prix, the 500cc class was won by Japanese riders since 1982 at the Swedish GP.
